Description
We have a handful of small and very small socks in our St. Kilda colour — a lovely natural grey blend of Hebridean and Shetland wools. The small socks are approximately size 3-5. They came out smaller than our usual small (4-7) for some reason, but are perfectly wearable. The extra small size are from a test batch to see if we could produce walking socks for children. The smallest achievable size was 12-3. However the foot is quite wide, so probably best for size 1-3
These little socks remind me of a pair of walking socks I had as a kid — very woolly, very thick and very warm. Kids who like to go hiking will love them I’m sure!
All of these socks have a calf-length ribbed leg, a cushioned sole and a comfortable toe seam. They are all quite roomy and for most people they will fit best over a thinner pair of socks.
- 80% British wool plus 20% nylon for structure, stretch and stability
- Knitted in Leicestershire, the historical heartland of England’s sock industry
- Recommended care: Handwash or gentle wool cycle at 30C. Do NOT tumble dry. If you put them in a tumble dryer they will shrink and go hard…..so don’t do it!! Re-shape whilst damp.
