These are the last of our Howgill Classic Throws – there are just one or two of each colour remaining. This beautifully soft blanket has been a popular choice right from the start of our adventures with British wool. It is supremely light for its size, light enough to be worn as a large shawl in winter, and incredibly warm to snuggle under.
Our blankets are large enough to cover a queen-sized bed. Each blanket is woven in a subtle herringbone design from the fine lustrous fibres of Bluefaced Leicester sheep which live in the stonewalled fields around the market town of Sedbergh. We start with the fleece and shepherd the whole process as the wool travels from scourer to spinner, dyer to weaver, and finally to cloth finisher, where the lustrous beauty of this fine wool is brought out in all its glory.
