Our Howgill Classic Throws have been a popular choice right from the start of our adventures with British wool. These beautifully soft blankets are supremely warm and light. Large enough to drape across a queen sized bed, they will add warmth without weight on a cold night. We still have a handful of Carbon throws in stock. This is a deep grey, almost black colour, very handsome in and of itself but also useful as a sofa cover given the large size of these blankets. Machine washable too!
Each blanket is woven in a subtle herringbone design from the fine lustrous fibres of Bluefaced Leicester sheep which live in the stonewalled fields around the market town of Sedbergh. We start with the fleece and shepherd the whole process as the wool travels from scourer to spinner, dyer to weaver, and finally to cloth finisher, where the lustrous beauty of this fine wool is brought out in all its glory.
