Laura's Loom - handwoven throws

Originally inspired by a desire to recreate in fabric the bold forms of a drystone wall, I have continued to develop my handwoven throws as artistic expressions of the landscape in which I live.

These are one-off spontaneous creations, made from as many as 25 colours and many different yarns sourced from mill end shops. Handwoven and hand-pieced, the throws are highly functional objects and at the same time exceptionally original pieces of art.

Woven to commission or as the mood takes me, often after a day wandering around the hills. The same fabric can also be made into wraps and cushions.
