I weave many bespoke pieces by hand on my trusty Harrisville 8-shaft floor loom, working with a variety of materials including my own British wool yarns plus soft lambswools sourced in Scotland, silks from Switzerland and a range of ‘mill ends’ and handspun beauties that I can’t resist purchasing when I walk by them! In this section you will find a selection of individually designed hand-woven scarves as well as the occasional appearance of handwoven teatowels and napkins, table runners and exotic textured throws.
I often weave to commission, working with clients to produce a piece of fabric unique to them. You can read here about how I wove a handwoven throw based on the colours of a cat’s eye. If you see something here but the colours are not quite to your liking get in touch – I might be able to reproduce it in a different colourway just for you!
