Laura Rosenzweig designs and weaves scarves and throws as well as producing The Howgill Range, a collection of beautifully soft 100% natural woollen blankets woven from locally sourced fleece.
After learning to weave in Massachusetts in 1994, Laura's loom has travelled with her from America to Switzerland and is now situated in Sedbergh, at the foot of the Howgill Fells in the Yorkshire Dales. Laura's creative spirit is nurtured by landscapes of stark beauty and her work increasingly reflects natural details that are seemingly static yet ever changing--the woody crinkles of tree bark, the solidity and bold forms of drystone walls with their attendant mosses, the myriad of colours on a pebble beach washed clean by the sea....
Laura finds a special magic in the natural world and tries to capture it in her weaving. Explore her world and be inspired........
