Learn to weave and you will discover a whole new world -- of colours, textures, fabrics and yarns -- and you'll probably make a new friend in the process. I teach weaving to both adults and children, using all kinds of looms from rigid heddle and inkle looms right through to 4- and 8-shaft table looms. Plus, at Farfield Mill, there are opportunities to try out a variety of floor looms including a 100 year old Bute 4-shaft, a handbuilt 6-shaft David John, a 12 shaft George Maxwell, a more modern 8-shaft Glimakra, and two relatively new looms - an 8-shaft Schacht Mighty Wolf and a 4-shaft Schacht Baby Wolf.
